I've just purchased some winter tires and steel rims for my new S. Why not drive the car 12 mo out of the year? It is just a car and makes a fantastic practical commuter. To me there is no such thing as "pointless" mileage with this baby.

Your friend was probably impressed with the S, because its a better car than the Z.

Just out 0of curiousity, where did you get the steel wheels and tires from?

Could you give me some details on sizing, price and anything else... I live in Chicago and will be needing some soon...

Thanks,
Den

It just sucks that here in Montreal we can only drive it 6 months out of the year.
Hey, I'm only about an hour from you and mine is driven every month with Dec, Jan and Feb as only months it rarely sees the road. You should easily be able to drive it 8-9 months of the year. Many up north get a good set of snow tires and drive year round. I tend to stay off the salt covered roads. Maybe if you get one we can meet up sometime. By the way, Della Honda in Plattsburgh has a black 06
for sale.

For me my S is my 24/7 ride. Because this will be my first winter driving the 2000 I'll be buying winter tires real soon. Tire Rack recommends the Dunlop Winter Sport, among others. My question .....

does anyone drive with HANKOOK W300s as their winter tire???
