Just wondering if this problem is covered under warranty? What if the dealer says that "it's not a manufacturing defect, but you must have pulled on the bumper and caused the problem"? Is this defect public knowledge?

I havn't seen that before.. but i did test drive an 06 a couple months ago that had some hideous welds in the middle of the rocker pannels. Painfully obvious with the black pint.. I havn't seen it on other s2ks, so I think it may have been a defect.. but it was on both sides.

yours doesn't look as bad as mine. mine is off by 6" and i'm not sure if it's caused by the heatwave were getting in San Diego.
