Five Year Anniversary
As of November 23, I had my S2000 for five years.
Its current mileage is slightly over 50,000.

That is definately the longest time I have ever heard of any rear tires lasting on an S2k. I really like the Yoko ES 100's. I've had my rears on now for a little over 10k and not quite to the wear bar but getting close.

Was there something broken or did you pay to have it reset?

You know you can reset your check engine light yourself.

In both cases when my 'Check Engine' light was on I paid for one-half hour of technician time and learned that the gas cap was not on tight. Although this was the first thing that I checked as soon as the light came on, it still did not go out, even after several days. Since I could not be sure that the gas cap was the real problem, I decided to bring the car in for service.
