Fixed the creeping floormats
I got so sick of adjusting my floormats, I stopped by Home Depot for a solution and I didn't like the idea of using velcro. I found some picture hangers and drilled the hole big enough for the seat frame bolt, then removed the front bolts and put one on either side of each seat frame with the hook facing toward the front of the car. I used some black wax string from a recent leather project to make a loop on each corner of the mats. Works great. Now I can drive without the mat sliding around and they are easily removable. Life is good.
actually, my MuzMats slide around more than the OEM ones - they cover more floor area, but the backing material just doesn't stick well to the carpet. i've used sticky velcro with some success, but i am yet to find a really good solution - especially for the driver's side, where it slips forward every time i get out of the car without thinking not to put weight on it. oh well - maybe i'll come up with something someday.
They are the one piece Muz Mats. No offense but they could have been made better by using the studded rubber mat material. My wifes stock Accord mats are on this type of backing and they don't go anywhere. Sorry MUZ. It was driving me nuts. Happy now!
It's hard to forsee how much stress some owners put on their carpet from getting in and out of their cars but apparently a few people had this problem. However the mats have now been made available with Anchor Post Eyelet for quite some time so any possibility of sliding has been eliminated.
Conventional soft rubber backing on two floormats of this size adds up to 10-12 lbs in extra unecessary weight. Considering many enthusiasts go to great lengths to reduce their car's weight this was not a desirable outcome when designing floormats for a sports car. We therefore decided to employ a lightweight long wearing non-perishable backing to each mat.

Hey Muz, I got the mat with eyelet but I don't have the post! Do you only get that if you get the OEM mats with the car? In any case my mats don't slide too much once they've settled over the chassis member.
