I have been searching for a while now, but I haven't found anything conclusive, or recent.

I am pondering a replacement steering wheel, something with a flat bottom/d shape.

I would like to make the ingress/egress easier, as right now my legs rub on the steering wheel, creating very tiny rips/rough spots in the leather that drive me nuts.

I've been ogling the VGS wheel since it seems to also be metal on the bottom part, eliminating the chance for ripping and tearing completely! Best I can tell there's pretty much no way for that specific wheel to fit, so does anyone know of something similar?

The VGS is a sick wheel, but you're right about it not fitting.... or at least with a working airbag.

 

the VGS wheel fits with modification to the spline iirc. puppydad has one on his car.
