I'm not going to comment on the merits of this incident, but time and time again we've seen the same sequence of events:

1) Someone does something stupid.

2) The stupid action results in a wrecked S2000.

3) They post here.

4) We're not supposed to point out that they did something stupid because you shouldn't "kick a man when he's down" and if we say something someone jumps all over those of us that believe in responsible driving.

I'm sure I'll be flamed for this, but really don't care. I agree with Calc...I think at least some of you are being a bit hypocrital...I recall a poll on this forum that asked how fast you've driven your S2K. There were a few responses in the 150's, one or two 160+ and a surprising number of 125+. You tend to take chances in a car like this that you ordinarily wouldn't in any other car and I'd be willing to bet that the majority of us have exceeded the speed the limit by alot more than we should have and whether we're willing to admit it or not, have made at least one bad judgement call since owning the car. Had "InRepair" not been involved in an accident, we'd all be ranting what a great handling car this is and what a great job he did maneuvering through those corners.

But when I said it, I was. And my atheist partner moans "Oh Random. Oh Chance!"
Thought I'd lighten things up a bit. I actually think Darwin's best know for his role as Samantha's husband by most of the people I seem to meet.

1. a normally aspirated S2000 can go 115mph.

2. race cars crash too, at 115mph or less even.

3. street accidents occur at speeds within the posted limits.

4. hey, DARWINISTS.....what about "mutational benevolence" (i made that term up)?
