FlowMaster Exhaust?
Thursday morning as I was getting in my car in the Albertsons' parking lot a Camaro driver walked over to complement me on it. His first question was "Can you fit in it?" He thought it was about the size of a Miata.
Then he asked how much horsepower it put out. "240."
Finally, he suggested that a FlowMaster exhaust and some sort of after-market air intake (I forget the brand) would boost that number to 300.
Opinions?

His advice would be good if you were running a voracious V8. Very respectable increases in horsepower by doing the simple I/H/E modifications on American muscle. I've saw a TV program where they took a $9,000 '94 Camaro, dynoed at ~225 hp and did those modifications, plus a few more:
- K&N cold air system
- tubular headers
- cat-back exhaust
- 26lb. injectors
- adjustable fuel pressure regulator
- throttle body
Their result was 278 HP at the rear wheels. Try doing that in a Honda! Oh, and the best part? They only spent $1500.
Of course, you trade off a lot of things when you buy a Camaro, but they're by far the best bang for the buck if raw HP is what you're after. Most of us obviously aren't.
