Default Fog light questions?

I am looking for ideas on for lights for my s.

I believe that i saw a set that were round and are moulded into the airdam on either side of the grill (those nonfuntional openings). Now that i want them I cant find them, any ideas?

How are you guys hooking up the lights? Are you adding a new power source and switch, or are you hooking into the headlight harnes so they go on at one time?

I have mine mounted behind my grille. It protects them from rock and road garbage. I used a right angle bracket for these and mounted that to the frame. I wired a switch for them right off the fuse block, not off the headlights. Connecting them to the headlights is not really a good idea, it creates another point of failure. Plus if anything happens to your lights and you've messed with the electrical the dealer my not honor the warrenty.

That is really sharp I like your car. How hard is it to keep your grill clean??? I would imagine those 100+ MPH bugs get all over the place. Those bastards!
I've seen your car on eBay advertising that grill shit, did you know they were using your pic?

Darkknight - your Blue S looks great, I especially like the new rims in the top pic.

I agree that they look best behind the grill screen.

I recently had a pair of PIAA 004X also put there, slightly closer together than yours.

Mine are not connected to the headlights.

The lights you're looking for are Odyssey fog lamps -- they're made in two styles and one is what you prefer. The other type is on my car.

Thanks for all your kind words!

I'll try to answer all your questions.

ralper:
Well honestly the HID's are so bright they really don't do to much but they do, do a little. I'm sure HID fogs would do a lot more. I'm sure I lose a little light behind the grille but I'd rather protect the foglights just so I don't have to replace them every other week.

brerspidur:
I have Pilot fog's. The switch is custom mounted into the underside of the dash.

khanh5:
I got them from MG Racing. I think they are around $100. then you have to get them painted.($40-$60)

jimbo69ny:
The grille is very easy to keep clean. And yes they do have my permission to use the pictures, I gave them the pic.
