Default Forgot to close latch before putting top down

Hi. Today, I hurriedly put the top down while at a stop sign and forgot to clip the right latch closed. Have I done any damage?

well first off, your post doesnt make sense. the only time you have to close a latch is when you're putting the top UP. in which case, if you were putting the top UP, and forgot to close a latch, then you're fine. no big deal.

Are you saying that you left the passenger side roofclip locked and hit the roof switch?

If so, and you only hit it for a second you should be fine, but if you held it down for a while I guess it could cause some damage.

I think he means that when he unlatched the top to put it down, he didn't fold the latch back up into place first. Just left it hanging there.

Yes, that's what I mean. When I unclipped the latch from the roof, I then left it hanging instead of closing it and then lowering the roof. Did I do any damage?
