Forgot to close latch before putting top down

I think there was one or two good responses so far, so I'll reiterate - not latching the latches after unhooking the top will cause NO damage, but it will rattle, which is why you should relatch them after you unhook them to drop the top.
You should probably check for spring spacers though.

My girlfriend and parents never lock the latches when they borrow my car and put the top down. After 4.5 years my car is perfectly fine. Don't worry about it.

you guys crack me up. It was a funny question BUT i guess if i were new to the car and the forum and all, i may have asked it, just because i suffer from "vehicle damage paranoia".
