I don't know why S2ki.com is turning into clubSi, it's a simple question.

yeah, the OP isn't clear about what happened but i think you know what's he's saying.

Is it just me or is this why xviper left. He just couldnt take it anymore.
No, XV left because of some real idiots posting really stupid things - this is an honest question.

I think there was one or two good responses so far, so I'll reiterate - not latching the latches after unhooking the top will cause NO damage, but it will rattle, which is why you should relatch them after you unhook them to drop the top.

You should probably check for spring spacers though.

My girlfriend and parents never lock the latches when they borrow my car and put the top down. After 4.5 years my car is perfectly fine. Don't worry about it.

That said, I agree with the poster that said you should change the transmission fluid...just to be safe

You will be safe. nothing to worry about

you guys crack me up. It was a funny question BUT i guess if i were new to the car and the forum and all, i may have asked it, just because i suffer from "vehicle damage paranoia".

i'll tag along and say your fine, no damage done.

Many have suggested that I change the transmission fluid but I'm not really sure why. If the engine is ruined, why not just change the whole engine?
