Hey People: Following is a post I did on 5/7/02.
Don't know how to change the heading, but this is an update.

Any interest in forming a group for KY and perhaps So. Indiana? At the least, we ought to get together for a little run somewhere in the state or nearby.

There are a bunch of people from Indianapolis who might be interested, check the midwest forum and post a thread there.

I believe they took a trip to Brown County (Nashville, IN) into that beautiful country, which is I believe around 50 miles north of Louisville on I-65.

Oh boy are you ever right about Brown County!! Absolutely lovely and a great ride as long as you don't try it during "leafpeeper" season. Then it is bumper-to-bumper traffic.

Re the Indy people - I'd guess they are close enough to ask to join in a ride that is not more than say . . . 2 hours away. I've participated in a run around Cincy and that was a two hour trip for me.

WOW!,

Twenty from Louisville/Crestwood. Didn't know there were that many around here.
I would be interested in an area chapter if someone wants to set it up.

I've sent PMs to maybe ten off the list I posted. Maybe they'll be interested. Guess we should wait until we see who we've got and then see what we can do. I worked w/ Slewpy on his most recent Cincy run w/ respect to a waiver of liability, but that would not really be all that necessary if we formed a non-profit corporation. I could do that w/o cost to anyone but me since I'm a lawyer. I'll wait on that too, so that everyone can have input on the best name for it.

I'm game. However, even though we've got 18-20 members in the Louisville area, I know at least a couple of those aren't owners. However, I'm not closed-minded enough to shut out non-S2000's from a get together.

If there are 15 S2000's in the Louisville area, I'll be astounded.

Good point about the non-owners. Also not a problem with me if they want to join.
I live on the east side and don't see many S2000. Of course on days like today I am driving my 14 year old beater and I guess others are to. Lets see if we can get any other locals to respond to this thread.

I'm still waiting for my GMAC lease to expire, until I'll be in the S2000 owner's group, however I'd love to ride around for a day in one. I'd make the trip to KY just to spend the day with the top down.

It will make me wishing October will come faster and faster!
