the suspension is totally revamped and shares the same componentry as the new HSC NSX.

more aluminum-alloy is used throughout the body, and the car incorporates a more rigid and thicker X-Bone foundation.

0-60 is estimated to be at 4.3 sec with a quarter mile of 12.8 sec.

msrp will be $38,000.

 

the new s2k is aimed at destroying the awesome 'bang-for-the-buck" of the wrx STI and lancer evo's.

 

How does the top go down on those cars?

well I heard a little bird told me that the new s will be the nsx little brother and will also have a hard top converitble...and also improve on the motor....like I said this the little bird told me and this little bird work for Honda engineering.....

I've never been one to jump on these speculation threads, but I can say this. The article you allude to is from Nov 2003. Most of the other articles that discuss the end of the line for the S2000 have been as recent as May/June 2004. If anything, I'd vouch for the credibility of the newer new pieces, vs. the old ones.

what's so funny? there will be a rally version of the s2000. it will incorporate the sh-awd that was built for the Acura RL. this rally version will ride 10 inches off the ground.

 

How much credibility does Honda-Preview have? They just updated their statement
on the 2006 S2000.
