Default free mod?

Anybody hear of the trick of blocking that little passage into the air reservoir or whatever right below the air filter?
Some guy told me that if you block that your Vtec kicks earlier and harder
anybody know about this?

Sorry, this isn't true, that hole below the air filter is a passage to a resonation chamber purely to tune the sound the engine makes, blocking it might make a slightly different sound, but nothing to do with Vtec at all.

imo, the best free mod you can make is to take out the slack in your accelerator pedal...

I thought our accelerator was electronic... or at least I read that somewhere...

You can also pull out your stock exhaust tips in order to acheive a more agressive look.

here's the DIY instructions.

Loosen one of the two nuts on the throttle cable. Screw/unscrew which ever until it's tighening. Leave a little bit of slack, then tighten the nut.

It's brain surgery.
