i too must have a sensitive touch but i never have a problem with taping both buttons simultaneously and canceling the cruise, after just a couple of practice trys.
Now if i only had some marketable skills

You weren't supposed to tell! I wanted you to keep the glory for as long as possible. But you are simply too honest a gentleman.

I did it the "lazy man's" way. With the car off, I did it right on the steering wheel. I use some fiber tape and just taped each button fully down and made sure the tape covered the buttons near the parts I was going to cut. Filed it smooth and presto!

That's easy, simply keep your right foot pressed entirely to the floor. Lock your leg.

Voila! Your cruising is controlled {grin}...

PS: This works best in 6th gear, otherwise the ECU limits your progress unpleasantly.
