Friday Night at the Drags...
Went to Sacramento to the drags last night. First time ever dragging anything. I ran 6 times with my times varying from 13.9 - 14.4. I raced a mustang cobra (mid 90's) and won, a '99 or '00 z28 and lost by .01 (I had a terrible reaction time and still put down a 14.01. I actually was as far back as 1/4 car and by the end we kept into it past the line and I pulled ahead of him), some blown out mustang that was running 12's and I WON (of-course that is because he blew something up at about 60mph), a couple generation 2 integras and won handily and I raced another S2k. He is a member here and if he wants to identify himself he can. The 13.9 I hit last night was a good launch, but I have launched better on the street and actually, my 14.01 was a much better launch and had a higher trap speed, I was just sooooo pre-occupied with my rpm's that I had a crappy reaction time (about 1/2 a second slower than my 13.9). Overall, I was happy with my performance, however I really think that with more time and experience launching the car, I think I could hit a 13.8 or 13.7. One thing for sure, I never thought I would get addicted to drag racing...I am hooked

[QUOTE]man how many miles do you have no your '03? does the clutch feel weaker now(since you drag raced)?[QUOTE]
4k. No, it got a little smelly and hot after 3 runs. I left and took a 5 or 6 mile drive and then let it sit for about an hour before running again. It seems just fine.
