Default Front bumper issue..

I can't believe I did it already but I ****ed up the bottom of my front bumper by driving into my job's parking lot.

I knew it was a crappy bump, but I took it at 2-3 mph basically slowest first will go.. So the left part of the bumper is kind of ****ed up now..

My question is, If I buy a oem lip, will it overlap the bumper a bit?

I will post up pics later of the bumper to better help out.

an OEM lip overlaps a bit on the bumper, but why would you want to add a lip and make the front end lower if you are already scraping? i would scrape going out of my driveway and garage, but i go out at an angle so it doesnt scrape.

Well, I have since stopped pulling into this particular parking lot, (we have 2)

It's a little weird, but basically I'm not going over that bump anymore..

I did hit the bump at an angle as well.. I really don't understand how it hit..

My 240 is about the same height.

I believe that OEM will do just fine. But seriously, its not all that bad. The second you get the OEM lip scratched , you will just worry about that too.

Hah, it happened the 2nd day I owned the car, maybe thats why I'm a little pissed off about it..

I think it's just an excuse to get one, so the car looks better then stock..

I was in the same situation as you. I scraped the bumper, so I got the OEM AP2 lip to cover it. It been a year now, guess what I scape the hell out of the lip also now. Luckily it is underneath.

To answer your question, yes the lip will cover up the scraps of your bumper.

I just had the front bumper re-painted as well as having it shaved. So in an effort to protect the bumper I purchased a front bumper protector from Coastal Metels. It is a piece of aluminum that fits aroound the bottom edge of the bumper and should hopefully give it some added protection from road rash.

Ah man, I did the same thing to my bumper... only it goes across almost the entire thing. I was making a u turn to park and well, misjudged the front end, 2nd week owning the car. So yeah, now I have that big ol scar to remind me of my stupidity.
