Default Front bumper license place holes

My car has the little holes exposed where the license plate hanger was originally attached. I asked the dealer for the little black plugs but they said they threw them away... anyone know off hand where I can pick them up. Is it as simple as a home depot part?!?

Thanks!

Those things BELONG TO YOU. They are part of the car as it was delivered to the dealership. Make them buy you new ones.

Look at it this way, if you buy locking lug nuts, they give you the 4 normal nuts. They don't throw them away, do they? They are your property.

They tossed a part of your car. They should be replacing them.

Did you talk to the sales person or the service department? It is the service department at the dealer that does the PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection), and they are the ones who "throw away" the plugs. Sometimes a mechanic will keep a collection of those plugs in a jar or in a drawer, sometimes they'd be doing PDI on a car when you ask and they will just take it off the new car (or fish it out of the trash) for you. So just go back to your dealer service department and ask them again, and again. And if you have a good relationship with a service advisor, you can ask him/her to save a set for you when they do PDI on a car of your color. Good luck.

Even though we got the car with a front plate on it, the dealer put the plugs in the bag with the owner's manual.

We are supposed to keep a front plate on in MA, but it has since been removed, and the plugs are in the holes.

From the dealer, they're like $7 a PIECE. On that first link, it's $3. But I would just complain at your dealer. I'm sure you can get it for free, if you talk to the right person.

Unfortunately I moved car from the state where I purchased it, to New Orleans. So its sitting in a garage right now... otherwise I'd definately bitch at the dealer. He told me at the time that it was illegal to not have a front plate (WI), so they disposed of the plugs. 10 seconds later I made him un-mount the front plate holder anyway... he did think it looked better that way.

oh, and my salesman securely wrapped mine in bubbled wrap and handed to me.

Just to tell you what should be the proper way. Sue them.
