Default Front chin / Side strakes

When I negotiate for the price of the Car in June, I want the chin and side strakes. Should I get them put on at the dealer? I noticed that they cost almost $500.00 from the dealer as an option but at least their installed. If I order them afterwards it's about $150.00 cheaper but I'll have to install myself.

Is it worth trying to haggle at the dealer to get them already on or buy from Handa-accessories afterwards?

Let me know what you guys did and if you had any regrets about it.

Just buy them online and install them yourself. It will be much cheaper than getting it done at the dealership.

Seems like most people that have had problems with the side strakes falling off, have had them installed at the dealers. Install them yourself and you can ensure there are two DIFFERENT sized holes. Best way to go IMO...

just buy it and install it yourself. it is easy as taking shit in your bathroom.
you dont even have to rise your car to do it. it will take less then 30 mins.

Hey thanks for the advice....

I'm gonna buy aftermarket even though taking a $hit is not all that easy sometimes....

Looking at the directions it doesn't seem to hard. I have all the tools already and I didn't realize that a lot of members had already advised against dealer installs until after I posted.

Didn't mean to kick a dead horse....thanks again.

install the chin spoiler yourself, its really easy, the side strakes, people have had problems with those so you may want to consider the dealer doing that, or you could use some good old lock tight and tie the thing down tight, it wont ever fall off that way, unless you break the bolt's seal with the lock tight

When you are dealing with the salesman at the dealership, try first to see if you can bargain the price of additional accessories. It might take a little more time but be patient, and maybe, for example, you'll end up saving $100 on the chin spoiler. If the salesman doesn't give you a good deal, then blah, get the accessories yourself.
