Default front end FULL of paint chips

Does anyone else share this problem??

I have an 01 Black S2k with 39K miles on it. My entire front end is completely covered with paint chips as is most of the hood. It looks horrible. I have never owned a vehicle paint that would chip so easily.

My MY02 Sebring Silver with 20K miles has it's fair share of paint chips too. Frankly, although I like Honda corp. vehicles and have owned many Honda/Acura models over the years, I have always felt the paintwork is a bit fragile. My '92 Integra GSL 2dr was horrible.

Obviously, our cars have that tendency, due to being so low in the front, to pick up stones on areas of the front end and hood that wouldn't be so vulnerable on more conventional vehicles. But I still think the paint chips easily, and I have several unsightly chips, despite the fact that I am fairly fanatical about avoiding situations that have high potential for road debris bouncing off the front. One of the few good things I can say about US cars is I think they generally tend to have tougher paint than anything I have ever seen on a Honda.

Get a clear bra

With any car you get, you will have paint chips on your front bumper no matter what. Thats if, of course, you drive it. I think having a black car just makes things worse.

i have similar paint problems. i am very disappointed in the quality of the paint. it seems even the slightest brush leaves a scratch down to the white primer underneath the black paint. looks like crap. stone chips and scratches all over the car. i am torn between re-painting it or selling it. not sure which yet, but the weak paint job is driving me crazy. it certainly will weigh heavy on my decision about buying another honda.

every car i have ever had that was low received these free rock chips en mass...it is from following too close to others ...i know you don't follow to close, they go too slow, but still i you back off you will not get as many...still i have my fair share....and i never will follow a large truck, especially in a construction zone!!!
