Default Front grille keeps popping loose

The black plastic grille in the bumper opening seems to pop loose on the bottom really easily. Pretty much any time I drive it it comes out. The top stays anchored.

What do I need to order to hold that thing in place? I can't really tell. It's annoying as shit.

I know, the diagrams only show AP1 for some reason.

I'm having the same problem with my AP2. some of the tabs that hold hte bottom in place have either broken off or come loose. This would be a great resource for fixing the problem.

hey OP,

the top is clipped on with tabs that allow the bottom to swing a little.

The bottom edge is 2 sided tape ( grille to bumper).

I removed my plastic grill for cleaning and put it back in. Replaced tape with white two sided foam tape. Works great. No prob with it for 1 year.

I just checked and mine is still on very tight.

BTW AP2 here.

Be careful you don't break the pins that hold the grill on at the top. Mine was loose at the bottom and I procrastinated on fixing it, now all the pins except one on the top are broken.

I bought some epoxy, and am going to try to glue it back in.

Tabs and tape, so no rattle. Works just fine. Cuts weight down a bit too.

It's a light piece of plastic, screws would be dumb.

It is not JUST tape, more like mounting strips.

I installed a couple of self tapping screws in from the bottom to help. The tabs didn't hold it tight and also some were broken.

I just tried some of that thick double-sided tape (it's almost spongy) and that's not working.
