So how does this help the guy? "Shipping" specifically states that they only ship to the lower 48, special orders doesn't help.

Although I live in Oz I simply rang a few dealers until I found one that had some plugs in the right colour (they were in the tech's toolbox). Perhaps the same approach might net you some free ones?

Actually the s2000 gets shipped to the dealerships with the two plugs. They will get removed by the dealership and replaced with the license plate. If you are nice to the dealership, maybe they will give you the plugs for free. Just don't tell them it's illegal to remove the front plates in Canada.

Actually, ITR, it's not illegal to remove the front plate in all parts of Canada. Here in Ontario it is required to have a front plate, but in the two adjoining provinces -- Manitoba and Quebec -- it is not required. There may be other provinces that do not require a front plate; I'm not sure.

Even though I've gone without a front plate on my Miatas for six years, with only one warning that -- entailed no consequences when I ignored it -- driving without the buck-tooth does cause a bit of anxiety when driving inside Ontario, especially if you're far away from the border with the neighbour provinces. Therefore, when I took delivery of my new Stook yesterday, I thought I'd see if I could get used to having a front plate. It looked okay in the dealership's service bay, but an hour later, when I stopped at a donut shop to have an excuse to sit and admire the car, I decided it looked awful. So the whole contraption comes of this evening and the plugs go back in.

If they come from a white S2K they will for sure. Don't know about other Honda models.
