Wrong.

The law in Texas reads that it needs to be at the forward-most part of the vehicle and visable for so many feet - not applicable if a reflective windshield is 'hiding' it. I used to date a cop in Austin..

For me I'd rather pay the fine and run with no plate. Besides I have a brother who is a police officer and I have him write it off anyway so I never have to pay..

How many Ferraris have you seen with a front license plate? Exactly.
Jesus! That's what 3M makes industrial strength double sided tape for!!!

Can't you mount it in the "mouth" of the car (air dam)?

Anything's better than having it in the stock location...

I've had my front plate zip tied to my grille since I bought it 6 1/2 years ago.

I live in the Midwest so I don't get really hot temps but I've never had over 3 bars on the temp gauge.

Those photos are great! Maybe I'll leave off the front plate and only travel with a pack of other S2K drivers.

Here's an interesting discussion of the front plate issue on a web site for police officers.
