That looks like another good idea - I'll be in the market for one.

I'm very interested in this mod. Although I've got the front spoiler, I don't really like the way it squares off the front end; I'd rather not have it on - although it does a good job of keeping the bumper from getting banged up. This new lip seems like a very promising alternative.

A couple of questions:
If it's made of aluminum, isn't that going to buckle the lip when it contacts the road?
If it's covered (?) with rubber, how are you going to color it? I always thought that paint on rubber doesn't bond too well.
Have you tested the real life "crunch" properties of this design? (If possible, I'd like to see a pic of what it looks like after a few scrapes on the road.)

David,

Do you just need the spoiler? I've gota factory spoiler that I need to paint that's not on the car. I'll (DONATE) it to you if that's all that is stopping you! Don't worry I have two the other one is on the car! This would give you the bolt pattern etc.

Cheers

Jeff

Thanks For the Offer Jeff

We are currently working on a version, that will be a little bit longer - to look more like a racing splitter - and a version that will work with the OEM front Lip.

And yes, we will Crash test the Protector on various curbs, bumps, etc...

Close-up Pictures will soon follow - Thanks for helping with the ideas

I'm definately interested in one of these!

I really want to see a distance pic though. I would also possible be interest in seeing the one that sticks out a little.

Would it be possible for you to send a PM when these are ready to go?

hmm... intersting. I've pretty much written off my front spoiler as a "bumper protector". It'd be nice to have a "bumper protector protector" though.

I like that idea! A bay area member had done something similar but across the center portion only. I'd love to see pics too and will really consider getting it to cover existing damage as well as reduce future damage!
