Westsidebilly raised the question (again) about the front plate bracket and whether or not people run without the plate , even in the face of a possible fine. I thought I'd take a poll for the curious.

Pretty much the only time you would get a ticket for not having a front plate would be if you let the parking meter run out and got a parking ticket, they usually add anything they can (read: rape) when you let your meter run out.

Currently I drive with my "mini-front plate" around town and take it off for giving the car a workout.

Of course, as far as I know, I'm the only person on the board to have ever seen four bars on the temp gauge, and I've seen it twice.

Did you look away and then look back real quick?

I've been stopped 3 times in 3 separate cars for no license plate. Let's see if the pattern holds for the 4th car, my S2k.

Barry,

On our AZ owner's drive last week, we had a member get 4 bars. It was spirited driving at altitude, hot weather, AC on, with a front grill. No front license plate, though.

Someone posted in Under The Hood that measurements showed a 14 degree hotter intake air temperature with the grill than without.

Looks like we have a bunch of criminals here!

Time to order my replacement tabs and take that ugly bracket off
