Hey Guys,
My 2001 is coming in a couple of weeks. A good friend of mine has offered to buy the Front or Rear spoiler for my s2000. My question is which one who you get and why?

Thanks for the help.

Neither, the front one scaps on everything and the rear one looks way to add-on for me.
Have your friend buy you some speakers and an amp.
IMHO

I have them all - front spoiler, rear spoiler and side strakes - I love them all.

If you were to get one, I'd get the rear spoiler...

I don't have either on my car because 1) my driveway has a dip at the bottom and it would certainly scratch if I had the front spoiler 2) I like the car's design stock. I would say get the rear spoiler or none at all

It has been noted here before that the front spoiler(bumper condom) is only a fraction lower than the original front bumper. If your not careful yes you will scrape the front spoiler, better that than your front bumper.IMO I think you should get both front and rear.Much more agressive looks.again IMO

I have both on mine. It's really a matter of taste. I'm not a big fan of front spoilers, except on the S2000. I think it looks stock and adds an extra hint of aggressiveness and that 'hunkered down' look. As for scraping, I don't think it's a huge problem. If anything, I'd rather scrape the spoiler than the bumper itself! I'm sure the bumper is much more expensive.

As for the rear spoiler, it was a must-have for me personally. I think it 'completes' the car and I think it looks very well integrated with the body.

Why not let them get you a CD changer or some form of stereo upgrade; I agree that the stook looks great without any body add-ons.

Of the choices the rear spoiler is the best looing. Front spoiler, as posted above, has a tendendcy to be removed by dips and curbs.

If you look on S2Ki FAQ under Ground Clearance you will see that there is 5 inches of clearance without front spoiler and 4.5 inches with. So we are only talking about half of an inch. IMO the front spoiler adds an agressive look but the rear spoiler looks just a little ad-on. Again, only an opinion. Speakers and an amp may be in your best interest if you want to listen to music with the top down!

Front and rear spoilers. I like the look on my black car. The front looks agressive, and the black blends in nicely.

Enjoy your new toy!
