Default Front & Rear Spoiler Install

Anyone have any "gotchas" or "doh" stories for their install of these two items? I just ordered them both off HandAaccessories.com. I know the front spoiler will be easy as hell cause its the same as the one on my prelude. I'm more concerned about drilling the holes in my trunk lid.

I authored a thread with a step by step instruction guide with lots of pics on the OEM rear spoiler install. Damned if the search can't find it for me. If I find it, I'll post it up here.

What is involved in the install on the front spoiler?

Any drilling, or just screwing into the pre-existing holes for the bumper?

You use the existing bolt holes but you do need to drill two holes. These are already marked in each fender well.

I've done both. Both from Handa. Follow the instructions.

Rear-carefull with the punch. Punch softly. Be prepaired for the drill bit to bite and pull you all the way in. The trunk spring replacement is a PITA.

Front-cake walk. No holes to drill, xviper. Self tapping screws with spring nuts to help you along the way.

Yes, you are correct, however, I found a post by someone on this forum who said that although it is not "necessary" to drill, it was helpful and more effecient to enlarge the existing holes so that the self tapping screws did not risk cracking the plastic as they went in. A minor detail but I took it to heart since it wasn't my car I did it on.

I too just recently received my front lip spoiler. I have yet to install it because I will most likely get a strip of clearshield installed on it before hand. I already got the car clearshielded a few weeks ago. The car is hibernating for the winter at this time. My question is this: Whats the deal with drilling for screws on the front lip spoiler? I thought you just bolt the spoiler to the existing bolts. Are you talking about the ends???
