Default Frustrated Purchase

Boy have I had a frustrating time trying to make a simple purchase. Went to H & A Accessories (sponser) to make a purchase of s200 hat, key chain, and a couple of other small accessories. Nothing too big - they have a nice site, good discriptions, but trying to purchase anything is torture. I have been trying to enter my billing address for credit approval and it keeps rejecting me. I checked with the credit co. and I am entering my correct address. I just got done chatting with their customer service rep on line and they claim its the credit co. Credit co says its ok they have approved the purchase - for all six times I have submitted it. H & A won't accept the order until my entered address is EXACTLY, space for space, comma, capital and letter the same as the address at the credit co. So back to the credit company - enter it as they gave it to me over the phone - guess what H & A still won't accept it. H & A won't accept phone orders and has no provision for Snail mail.

I guess what I need to know is this - where else can I order an S2000 ball cap, keychains, License plate holder, etc. These guys just don't want business.

Sorry to hear about your frustrations. I have never had a problem with H&A in the 4 times that I've purchased from them. Have you tried a different credit card?

Also, you can check out Hardtopguy.com. They are also a sponsor on this site and apparently gets great reviews from the people on this site. Good luck

the address verificating/matching pocess is becoming quite onerous for online purchases. it's a sign of the times. whatever you "think" your address is, it may vary, even slightly, from what the CC company has in its records. this means zip/zip+4, road abbreviations road/rd, space/no space following street number for unit number, apartment/apt... you get the point.

it's got to be exact or it isn't going to work.

One rule I have taken to heart over the years.......................................

Don't sweat the little stuff.

There will undoubtedly be more important and frustrating things that will pop up with this car.

Save the head-bang icons for later. Hahaha

Hockey - I couldn't agree with you more!

it's a sign of the times.
Ace10 - I know your right - but that doesn't mean I have to accept the "times" gracefully.

As for the head banging - My predominant purpose in my profession is to please the customer - it is literally all I do. When I come across an outfit that literally has "my way or the highway" attitude - well it does upset me.

The sorryful part of this is I live in rural (read that real, redneck, rural) Pennsylvania. Every supplier around here thinks it has to have NASCAR on it to be worthy of selling. so if you want an Honda racing team hat or shirt, let alone S2000 accesories/apparel. Good luck on not getting thrown out of the store. It really is disappointing to find the exact product you were looking for and not be able to get it because of a "a sign of the times". Customer service should be handled by real people, not computers. As the saying goes " to error is human, but to really mess things up, you need a computer. H & A if you just happen to read this - fire the computer - hire a real live person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for that. I needed a good laugh!

I know for a fact that my local parts counter has NEITHER: good customer service or ANY of the parts that he is referring to. Who are you kidding?

The Honda counter is the last place for the stuff we need. HardTopGuy gets all the OEM stuff for fantastic deals - shipped, so all true Honda stuff is taken care of. Most of all that we need comes from outside Honda anyway, and we ALL have to deal with this internet thingamajiggy.

.....and I'm sure H and A will come through for you, or else!!

I hope some dark cold night when your power goes out and the computer the electric company has answering the phone gives you the cyrptic message that your request will be answered in the order it was recieved, that you will remember that you really don't want a real live person to talk to. When you really need or want something - - -service matters! And yes you do pay for it - H & A prices aren't exactly that cheap!

and I'm sure H and A will come through for you, or else!!
I have tried every way I know and they haven't yet - my credit card company and H & A are playing the blame game. And neither will call the other to work it out. So much for customer service.
