It seems like my fuel gauge isn't quite right but my problem is difficult to describe. Just next to the E is a red hash mark and then there are a progression of yellow hash marks illuminated based on the amount of fuel in the tank... not rocket science.

Here's my dilemma: it looks like the first yellow hash mark next to the 'E' is out. There is a blank space the width of 1 hash mark next to the red line and the 'E' which never illuminates. So, a full tank lights all of the hash marks up except for 1 blank on the left hand side before the 'E'. And basically, if the tank gets low and I get to 1 bar it looks like I don't have any gas left, at all. So I rush to the station and fill it up. I get at most about 10 gallons. So I am thinking that my gauge is faulty or is this normal? I know that I'm running low because the fuel light comes on.

I bet I've got 2+ gallons left in there. Could this be right?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I get all bars lit up when I fill up, but it only lasts about 2 miles and then minus one bar full.

tyipcally the gas light comes on at 2 bars for me.

tis a bit difficult to see, but notice - only the 'empty' bar is left <g>

Wow, that was a fast response... It is hard to see it in the photo but is the empty bar the red one? If so, I have that but the first yellow bar is the one that never lights up...annoying, very annoying.

Dillehay-

I ***Think** that this is due to the canadian S2000s having some indicator light there. Mine does the same thing I think. I would check but it is parked. ANyone remember this from before?????

Help out if you can!

When the gas light comes on steady you have about 10 litres left in your tank - about 2.6 US gallons or 2.2 Imp. gallons. I normally give myself 45 miles from that point (to be on the safe side)

The blank is supposed to be blank. It never lights up its just not there. If you look real close you can see that its supposed to be blank because there is no clear area like there is with the orange lights.

I have found the same problem with my car. Sometimes the warning light comes on with four bars showing. This then disapears then comes on when it feals like it. Also, never run the car out of fuel. Your normal 4.5 liter container is not enough fuel to restart your car! Don't ask me why.

I have that same missing fuel bar problem as well. I know there was a light there before because it disappeared right around my 1500 mile mark, right now I have 3500 miles, I don't think it is a big problem......although my low fuel light comes on with no bars, it seems kind of strange!
