Fuel Injector Cleaning
I'm taking my S2K in for the spark plug TSB next Tuesday. It has 39K miles and is almost 3 years old. I have had the regular services performed but was wondering if it would make sense to have the injectors cleaned during this TSB. I dont like additives and think this type of cleaning is probably more effective. My question, does this need to be done? Car runs ok, seems a little less responsive, but we are having very hot and humid weather. Your comments would be appreciated.
If you have always used good gas (91 and from 76,Chevron Shell... not some mom and pop shop) you shouldn't have to clean your injectors for another 100k miles.
You are more than fine. I would leave it.
If you are paranoid... the injectors are easy to get to regardless of the sparkplug TSB. You can ship them to RC Engineering and they can clean them and blueprint them as well for pretty cheap.
