Default Spark Plug TSB/Recall....what a crock...

I just spoke with my dealer. They said they had heard about it...when I asked when I can bring my car in, I was told, "You will receive a letter from Honda...when you receive that, call us and schedule the appointment"

I'll tell ya....if the plugs come loose and my car is stranded on the side of the road...I am going to be PISSED.

What do they need....proof that I have an S2000?!?!? Insane.

Think about it this way... the TSB letter is your gift certificate. The dealer may not get paid for the warranty work from AHM without this. They have to be sure that your car is included in the TSB or Recall.

Also, most dealers don't have the part yet. My service tech (fellow owner) is going to call me when it is in.

From what I understand the dealer gets a VIN number range and if your car falls into that category then you are good to go. That is what my dealer told me.

If you're worried about it, take your care in and have them check your plugs
Ha! If that dealer is anything like mine (Hall Honda in Virginia Beach), they actually refused to check my plugs! They would not even look at them until I received the letter....

I took my car in to have them look at my 3rd gear, and they told me about the upcoming recall, I asked if they could do it when it's in for the service, but they said they didn't have the parts yet. The service writer there was also an S2k owner as well.
