Auto Manufacturers use the horsepower rating of the ENGINE for promotional value. Most stock S2000s dyno around 200 hp at the wheels. Rear wheel drive autos generally have a 20% loss of horsepower by the time the energy reaches the rear wheels through the drivetrain. Your S also has 240 hp! It just depends where you are measuring. As to the Type S?

$26780 for a stock '01 with 33,000 miles seems a bit high to me. If the glass, paint and tires are "LIKE NEW," they must have had replacement. My rear tires are far from "like new" at 4,100 miles.

"Type S" means that a Chevy dealer is writing copy for a Honda car they don't know much about.

It is NOT like an RSX Type S as opposed to a plain RSX.

Idiots. I found an "Integra Type-S" on ebay as well. Sent the guy an email and he responded...

"Thanks, I didn't know that, I go by what other people tell me"

I'm thinking he's gonna make a great cars salesman.

What???? You don't know what a Type S is???? Every Chevy dealer knows what it is. If you buy the car they promise to tell!
