Funny story 2
Here's another "We have a VERY unique car" story.
About three days after I bought my 2001 blk/blk S2000, my wife and I decided to go out to dinner to celebrate, and chose one of our favorite restaurants here in Seattle (Salty's on Alki).
We pulled up to the front of the restaurant and decided to take advantage of the Valet service that looked to be very well appointed, and staffed with older drivers (no teenagers in my car, thank you).
I handed off the valet key and made my way in to the restaurant with my wife. About half of the way to our table, a thought struck me.

Hey, nice color combo there... blk/blk. I had the same problem too. Well, it was more like the guy didn't know how to reverse. (I had the same problem myself coming out of the dealer... sales people were laughing at me cuz it was my first stick ever)
Makes me wonder....need to take another look at my valet key for bends!
I was pissed the first time I tried to put it in reverse. I yelled to my wife (who was standing in the garage watching me leave) "This car has no reverse! The transmission must be broken already!) Man, I felt like such a dork after I figured it out.....

Noticed you're from Kent. You must have the only S2K there. I drove through Kent and it seemed like a pretty small town.
Guess there aren't that many S2K's that valet their cars. If there were, those valets would've known how to start the car right away. At least they figured it out.
