Last saturday I went with one of my buddy's friend who drove a Honda Del Sol to the mall. While riding with him, I noticed he only shifted AT REDLINE each and every time. But it wasn't like he was GUNNING it. He was just slowly getting up to redline...then shifting. I mean..I really only saw him do it to 3rd at the most because he never went fast enough to redline 3rd gear. I asked him what he was doing and he said "I thought the redline was where you were supposed to shift".

The guy was DEAD serious, too.

OH...he also said that when going downhill or on long stretches of straight road, he would push in the clutch all the way and just "coast" to save gas.
