Funny survey about S2K purchase??
I just recieved yet another survey about my S2K purchase. Here is a little background before the story:
I purchased my MY2002 in 12/2001. As of this moment, I still haven't return any survey to Honda or the dealer about my MY2002 purchase.
And today in the mail, I received a survey from Maritz Research about my MY2002 purchase. And enclosed in the envelop, is a one dollar bill ($1) , which is not mentioned anywhere in the survey.
So, what's that all about?
Well, I don't mind the extra cash, but $1 ... I can't be buy myself a gallon of gas here in SoCal ... ($1.47/gallon for premium)
anybody got the same thing??
Keep the cash coming~
The more the merrier~
(well, I think I can still get my free tank of gas if I bring my Honda survey back to the dealer ...
Maybe I should hold on for the survey longer and see if they send me a FREE HARDTOP.
)

They put the $1 bill in the envelope as incentive to fill it out.
Lexus does this all the time, although the local dealer here just upped the ante to 4 movie tickets or 12 golf balls. The Lexus deal was to test drive a new car. Took them up on that, then took the four movie coupons.
Enjoy the money, they sent it via USPS and you didn't order anything, it's yours...EVEN if you do not fill out the survey.

Stockae92,
At least you haven't fallen for the big survey disappointment I did. After sending back all of the S2000 surveys I received in 1999 (thinking it would help the car gain praise), I responded to one of those $200 for a few hours of your time phone calls.
They claimed that I would be evaluating future automobile concepts and have an impact on future design. Being a true auto enthusiast, I agreed and was looking forward to seeing some cool prototype vehicles that planned to compete with the S2K. Living in South Orange County didn't make the trip to Thousand Oaks any easier!
Long story short, I drove a Boxster, S2000 and Z3 about 20 miles each and had to answer over 150 questions about each car. This was definitely not worth the $200. The best part of the deal was scarring the crap out of the ride along person as I threw the S2K around the corners with all my might (it was the third car I drove on the same isolated route).
Anyway, avoid these "surveys" at all costs!
