Funny whirring sound
Hey all,
I've got a '00 s2000 with 86000 Km's on the dial. Drives well except for a whirring sound that comes from the front (axel/wheel bearings/somehwere). The sound first starts when I go forwards, from about 5hm/h upwards. It isn't RPM related, only occurs when the car is moving. It starts as a bit of a grinding sound, but as I go faster, turns into more of a whirring sound.
The previous owner had this same problem, and had the wheel bearing replaced. I believe this didn't do anything to the sound. Before buying the car, I had an RACQ mechanical done on the car, and it came up fine.
Has anyone come across this before?
TIA,
Casey
