Wonder what the survival rate is for AP2s?

A survival rate for S2000s overall would be useful, Even more useful if we had comparisons. How many 2001 Honda Accords still on road? '01 Vettes or Miatas?

It includes any option of the car which is coded into the VIN- so say if color was coded into the VIN (which it is not- too bad!- would be cool to know), I could tell you where every S2000 of a certain color lived down to the zip code in the US.
So why is it Honda dealers and websites, as well as my insurance company, know right off the bat the color of my car when they have the VIN #? Is it cross tied to another data base?

I believe Honda kept record for colors of each S2000 that was produced but none of the figures in the VIN itself represents a color, like what Honda did for assembly plant; S=Suzuka and T=Tochigi.
Some manufacturers do:

VW Beetles are classic cars. Millions made and yet only a small percentage are still on the road. VW Microbus' , the same thing (not as many made) but few still on the road. Pick any car/year and chances are that a case can be made that it will be a classic car, if it isn't already.
