Default Future classic: Honda S2000

From Fox Sports: http://www.foxsports.com/motor/story...000-s2k-030215

Nothing like some positive reinforcement (and appreciation $$)

This one is beyond repair.

Not a classic:

+1, both examples shown in the article will not be classic examples.

Isn't the point of article more a testimonial to what a great car the S2000 is rather than an indictment of the one pictured????????

Be proud that the S2000 was ONCE AGAIN acknowledged as one of the greatest sports car produced. Just like the F20C recently being chosen by Car and Driver as the Greatest Naturally Aspirated Engine of all times. AP2 owners invariably start picking apart and questioning the accolade and choice as if their cars are independent of the original S2000...

and all those who aren't in the know thinking those are the 'classic' examples. Can you imagine if those original testarossa (TR) owners "hellaflushed" their all aluminum bodied works of art.

ridiculous. The classic examples will be year one, low mileage, garage queens.

The article itself is mostly harmless. It's a nice, feel-good article for anyone who owns an S2000. I'm happy with my choice of car regardless, so I don't really need the atta-girl reinforcement of the article, but I don't deny that it's pleasant to read that someone else thinks similarly.

The pictures, on the other hand... Those were a poor choice to accompany this particular article. Not sure what the editors were thinking.

...and then the barn find, unrestored examples will be the next hot thing, sold by fat, red faced, friendly car guys in hawaiian shirts who have no hope in ever fitting into an s2000.
