The only input I could give concerns the poor instructions that come with the product. Several of the board members have posted additional info under the group buy thread for this product. The plate is flexible and tough so I am not concerned with cracking. I will post immediately if it does.

i don't know how that could happen. maybe it is possible if you drop the hood on it enough, but i don't think engine temps will crack it. i checked and it doesn't appear to be making contact with my hood, no marks or scratches. i actually cut a piece of it off to fit my hood alarm switch, and it was pretty durable, and very difficult to cut out. i don't forsee it cracking, we should be fine for quite some time.

Yes they will begin to crack. Normal wear and tear. Why wouldnt it crack? Its as thin as a potato chip. I have had mine on for a year and it has slowly cracked over time. Not bad though.. But YES they do over time..
