garage mods
Race Deck. http://www.racedeck.com/
Total for a 24' X 31' was $3300 delivered. I took about 6 hours to do due to a lot of angles in the 3rd car side of my garage (not pictured) and moving all of the storage cabinets.
It is textured like diamond plate. Even with the snow we get here, there is not a problem with slippage. I had Armstrong Industrial tile in my garage back in CA. It's the stuff you walk on in the supermarkets.

More up keep with waxing and stripping the wax a couple times a year, but half the cost installed.
Race Deck clicks together so if I move, I can take it with me. Armstrong was glued down. When I needed to replace a tile, I had to take up two and glue the new ones down. Luckily I only had to do that a couple times over the years.
As for jack stands and such, I haven't had to do that yet, but my plan is to put a piece of plywood under each jack stand just in case.
