Default Gary@importtuninggarage sent wrong items and not..

About a week and a half ago I ordered a set of Megan Racing Toe Rods from gary@importtuninggarage. Per our conversation via phone call and personal message we agreed to a set of Megan Racing Toe Rods for $165 shipped as the group buy states in the respective section. During our conversation and in all our messages, TOE rod has been mentioned numerous times.

Fast forward a week, i receive the items promptly but upon opening the package i notice that he sent the wrong items. He sent a set of Megan TIE rod ends instead of TOE rods. Fine, as the name may easily be mixed up. The tie rods didnt look so bad so i considered keeping the things so i proceed to create a thread asking for input. After the research i've done on other forums, the Megan Racing tie rods tend to sheer at the threads causing complete seperation, so no thanks.

So then i message gary@importtuninggarage in attempts to resolve the situation. His first response i got today. Basically it SEEMS like he is unwilling to fix the problem and he states that his website mentioned TIE rods for $165 shipped and TOE rods at a slightly higher price therefore i purchased the TIE rods. Apparently he fails to remember that he had a group buy for TOE rods at $165 shipped as well as our numerous messages and phone call.

I definately prefer to fix this the right way: I send the item back, he sends the correct item... problem solved... instead of me contacting my credit card company and paypal. Like i said we are at the beginning stages of this, but im very disappointed he doesnt seem very willing to help me fix the problem. Im sure he has done some good business here as he is a sponser, but i hate to get the short end of the stick.

When the situation is corrected, i will close this thread. Until then I will keep you guys posted.

Seems a bit premature to start a negative thread at this point? Handle your business with him direct and as a last ditch, start a thread. Sounds like you are barely along in trying to fix the issue.

GL anyway

I have ordered many parts from Gary@Importtuninggarage in the past, and had no problems. I believe he's a great guy to deal with.

I didn't create this thread to be negative or I wouldn't have been subjective to the situation. Like i said, im sure he has done more good business than bad business, I just hate to get ripped. Although his message did not seem at all encouraging and did not offer a chance to resolve the situtaion and the fact that he didnt answer any of my phone calls, im sure he will eventually help me out.

Then please explain the point of the thread? None of us can help you.

Starting a thread like this is usually done to out a thief or cheater, and I doubt Gary is either of those. He has done plenty of business on this site. You don't need to start a negative thread just because a guy doesn't answer a few phone calls.

All I'm saying is you need to give it a few weeks to transpire before posting.

^^^ that's where I feel you are wrong. Wait a few weeks to transpire, that's ridiculous. We are talking about a wrong item of lesser value and of no importance that I've already received. I can understand your point on a part NOT received.

If you can't understand the point of the thread, don't bother posting as you wont have any idea how to usefully contribute to the thread. Its pretty obvious that the direction the thread is going is that he didnt seem to want to respond and help and didnt make it a priority to fix his mistakes.

Anyways, Gary has called back and we have reached an agreement and everything is cool now. One of the problems is that he made a typo on his group buy page which i have also pointed out.
