i am a new 2004 owner, my first tank....bars dissapear in no specific order then the low fuel light is on...i am thinking no gas, i panic, i get to a station to find that is has only used 10 gallons! this normal???? light going on with three gallons left??? mileage, in breakin 25.5, no oil used so far. thanks

 

My car went from 3-4 bars to 0 in about 5 miles the other day & I still only put in 11 gallons.

Get used to it. Look at it this way, you'll never run out of gas.

 

Yes, its normal. I've driven 20+ miles with no bars left and it will take 10.5 gallons or so to fill up.

 

My gas gauge is on crack!!!!


From 1 bar to like 8 bars, parking uhill, downjill, sideways, even level..... This thing is tweaked!

 

HAHAHAHA. my acts all reterded to. when it gets to about 4 bars left i get some 94 oct.. easy to find in my area

im not even sure the gas guage work half the time. How can i lose 4 bars with 20 miles! I get about 120 miles at half tank, then around another 110 miles its at 1 bar and i get scared so i fill up, but then i hear that you can go another 20 miles when there aren't any bars!

Looks like you can probably go more like 50-75 miles further after the light comes on.
