Default Gathering Statistics for Ripped Soft Top

hello all!

I am currently collecting vehicle information from s2000 owners to be formally presented to American Honda Motor Corporation. My soft top recently started developing a hole where the top rubbed against the "A" shaped part of the softtop frame. We all know that part of the frame, the edges are somewhat rough and sharp. When I told Honda about numerous s2000's of all years top failing prematurely, they stated that there "wasn't enough documented cases of soft top failure to warrant a TSB or recall".

I was told however, that if there were enough documentation of the tops failing prematurely, consideration would be given.

I need to begin gathering numbers to be presented to Honda.

Please PM me the following information and I will compile statistics.

1. Year
2. VIN
3. Mileage
4. Location (So I can get an idea of weather conditions)
5. When and what mileage you noticed excessive wear on the top
6. Which Honda dealer you initially took it to for inspection
7. Description of repair/replacement
8. Was it covered under warranty?
9. Were you given any sort of good will assistance?
10. Car purchased new or used?
11. Any warranty on vehicle? (HondaCare, Honda Certified, Factory Warranty, third party insurance)

All and any help or feed back will be greatly appreciated.

-Alvin
