Gauge Cluster replacement?
I have looked into the whole buying process and importantion aspect of importing a US S2000 vs buying one here in Canada.
Here in Alberta, you have to pay 7% tax (6% starting in July of 06) on the purchase price of the vechile. Considering how good the Canadian dollar is doing right now, even after taxes, customs, etc. I would be saving approx. $5,000-$10,000 Canadian.
In the local autotrader, S2000's seeem to be selling at around the $25k-$30k range for what I am looking for.
I have seen many in the states (with nice mods like rims, exhaust, etc) for around $18k-$22k USD. Considering this price difference, I think it is worth the hassle of importing. Also, in Texas and Cali, there is no snow, so the cars are mint rust wise. Here in Canada, with all the snow and even salt in the air, you can run into some issues (even if its just on nuts and bolts)
After finding out that the S2000 has a toggle, to go between MPH and KMPH, that just put the icing on the cake and made my decision.
Thank you guys for all the help.
