Default Gauge Difference between years

I have seen a few different looking gauge clusters, some with 1/2 circle fuel and temp gauges and some with flat, straight fuel and temp gauges.

Which years are which.

Thank you, and if thier is a better way to find information on this subject, please let me know, i am totally new here.

AP1 is straight. The arc shaped temp and fuel are AP2.

ap1 (2000~2003) the rpm stretches from one end to the other 1k rpms to 9k rpms respectively. the oil temerature + fuel gauges are straight lines.

ap2 (2004~2007) the rpm stretches from left to about 3/4th mark from 1k rpms to 8k rpms respectively. the oil temperature + fuel gauges are semi circle arches. ap2's also have a clock in the tach, and the 2006+ s2000's have a outside temperature gauge + clock in the gauges as well.

ask away if you still have questions.

for some reason the tachometer in the 2004-2007 S2000s stop at 8,000. I'm still trying to figure out where the last 1,000 rpms went.

Here is another note about the ap1's cluster gauges:

02-03 - looks exactly like the 00-01's as well, however, there is a line between the RPM numbers and RPM marks. The 00-01 does not have this and imo, looks better without it.

Other than that, it is the same.

Take a look at an 00/01 gauge:

Now, the 02/03 has that extra line as you can see:

correct. also, the colors are a little different as well. 00-01 odometer has a yellowish hue while the 02-03 have a reddish hue.
