Think the tail lights are a real pain to open up from what I have read.

 

Yes...yes they are. I tried on a damaged set and would never want to absorb the cost of damaging a customer's set . The problem is there is no strength in the clear cover. When you start to pry the two halves apart, the clear half tends to want to break/crack right at [the general] 90-degree shaped angle where the clear half wraps around the corner of the car. I've seen threads where folks that did theirs (successfully, ultimately) had to purchase multiple sets of tail lamp assemblies as a result of breakage during the attempted mod.

 

It's a shame my 20 of a kind mod will no longer be unique, but at least there will be a lot more clean AP2s around now. It's also a shame Rick's didn't produce it when I had over 100 peeps signed up on the Petition thread over 3 years ago.

I'm definitely interested. I've been thinking about switching to AP1 lights just so I can get rid of the amber.

 

i have a pair that probably came from A/X boi's 20 piece run. I love em. Changes the look of the front end big time.

 

Cant think of the guy who did them previously (did a top JOB)

Bought some and never put them in!!!!! Seemed to much effort. But **** it looks good.

Almost got excited on pre-orders. Accidently read the Ap1 diffuser thread.

Any updates on when this will be made?

 

I am ded. interested in the ap2 version, i have been looking for these since I bought my s! Hopefully this will be ready for homecoming!
