My Ap1 has a knotch at very slow 1-2 and sometimes 2-3 shifts. At high rpms its like butter though. Definitely is worse when cold, however still get the odd one when warm as well.

I still get the notchiness sometimes when its warm. Drives me crazy.

I talked to a mechanic and he said the trans fluid is susceptible to moisture. The car was stored in the winter by the previous owner- he bought it new in Dec. 03. i just bought it from him a month ago. Low miles.

I am going to change the trans fluid to synthetic- sounds like the most logical thing to do.

Buy GM or Penzoil Syncromesh and you should be fine it eliminated my gring after 1 change....
