gears
I know from reading this forum the most popular read end change is 4.56. I am wondering if anyone has gone the other way to say 3.55?
If you calibrate speed in gear using a 3.55 rear end an ap2 would run to about 65 in 2nd and 90 in third. This seems like nice useable speeds. IMO with the standard rear end we just run out of each lower gear to quickly.

if i had a 400 hp turbo S i would still use gears.. 4.44's or 4.57's. they make you go faster still
longer gears will just accelerate you slower, even if you have the extra power. the argument of "staying in boost longer" basically means you are just going slower
unless you want to hit top speeds of 160+... then you should keep the stock gears.
putting 3.55's in your car would ruin it..

I'd love to have anything in the 3.xx range. If I ever have rear diff trouble, that is exactly what I will do. I'm not worried about it slowing me down. I would rather have the lower cruise RPM and longer first gear.

I think the stock 4.10 is already too aggressive as it is.
