Would you be interested in this if I had it in polyurethane or carbonfiber with adjustments to correct the issues you described?

Woah, thanks for the review. Looks like I won't be aiming for this lip anymore, unless Spugen makes a copy?

Are you referring to a cheaper copy?? That would be great...

Most likely the cost would be much cheaper with the reduction in shipping alone. Polyurethane is fairly inexpensive as well but is more flexible than the fiberglass the original is constructed from, carbon fiber is a little more expensive however. It would be a copy with modifications to avoid the issues with mounting/demounting, hole alignment, and cosmetic flow into the front bumber on the sides.

Why are all the lips made out of fiberglass if it is so easy to damage?

if i were to get a lip now, i'd get the spugen copy. best of all worlds, looks good, domestically available, and it's urethane. when i got mine, i wanted the amuse lip but it came out to be about the same cost as the gears. this was back in early 2000.

Phase one of redesign has begun using ABS. I have the Gears and OEM lip to get a better single product with corrections on the side mounts and bumper hole location.

One question, would there be an interest in a lip/bumper combo as a single peice?

Just a lip with OEM mounts if possible. Bumper would be too much $$$.
