Default Get rid of S2K for CR-Z?

So, I've had an Evo X since Oct, and really haven't gotten into the car. I am an Evo fan, loved them since the VI was out, which we never got, and didn't like 7/8/9. When the X came out, I knew I would get one (or a G37) and I did.

As they sit, I prefer my S2K by far; it's not significantly slower, it sounds a million times better, and it's the one that I drive as soon as I get a chance. I love every second of the S2K, as of now same cannot be said of the Evo. It sounds like a Camry, and the pull is only to 5500 RPM. Makes it very underwhelming.

However that's about to change. I have bought a ton of parts, and going for 500-550 WHP and 8000+ RPM with a GTX3582R and cams. At what point is the pure power advantage going to make me 'get over the S2K?' I'm sure my Evo is better at everything even as is, but the S is not too far behind, and since it has more done, it feels better, and also it's more of a pleasure cruiser that I can take out with no real destination. I can't cruise the Evo, something about it being a sedan...

But anyway I'm thinking of getting rid of the S2K for a good daily, and selling my Civic. I'm thinking a CR-Z. My favorite 'newer' Honda would be a (04-08)TSX, TL, or 07+ Si sedan. But I REALLY dont want 2 sedans. And if I have an Evo as well as some other sedan, I'll be completely over the sedan before getting it, because it's not going to compare, it's not going to have the contrast of the S2K.

CRZ seems the only logical route, other than keeping all 3. I fear that I will want more speed out of the S, once the Evo is done and then turn it into an unreliable money pit as well. I may be temped to K swap the CRZ, but that's not nearly as bad as boosting. Hmmm? Any insight?

You need to keep the S and run a SOS Stage II supercharger and all your problems will go away :-)

Have you driven a CRZ? If not, you'll probably be disappointing.

If you're just looking for a daily, who care's how many doors it has as long as it's reliable and functional?

Take you're pick; Civic, Fit, TSX, etc.

Only my opinion and if it was me in your position, I would hold onto both until the evo is complete, even then it will still be a difficult decision. Reason being they are two completely different cars that give to very different driver feels. With that said, my daily is a 05 TSX, and i swore I would keep it stock but Im already looking to convert it to use flashpro lol

I would go 6266. Would be too fun, and I'm sure S2K motor will make more HP/PSI. But dont want the S2K if it can't remain reliable. I already expect the Evo to break.

Because I simply don't like having the same type of cars when one is clearly superior. I had a Miata when I got my S2K. Had.

I'm actually going to a Honda dealership to try one out right now.

Just because they have the same number of doors doesn't mean they are the same type of car.......

Maybe you'll love the CR-Z.

I fear wanting to K swap the CRZ if I get it. My Civic is supposed to be a stock daily, but I swapped it LOL. But with the Evo at 500+ I think it'll seem silly to even bother swapping the CRZ. On the other hand, the Civic swap was done after getting the Evo.

Oh well, maybe the test drive I'm going to take will talk me out of it.

My student drove a CR-Z this weekend in HPDE1 at NCM. I was far from disappointed as he was the fastest car out in the HPDE1 sessions.

I will warn you, it will be expensive to do the CRZ swap right/OEM-like, with everything working. You honestly are in a really good position right now, you have a daily, cruiser, and potential 500hp beast
