Default Get a third key?

I want to get a third spare key for my sister in case she needs to drive it. I want to know how much usually the spare key cost and how long does it take to order one from the dealership.

Wouldn't it be better to ask a dealer how much and how long it would take them?

He has an AP2 and Home Depot doesn't do sidewinder/laser cut keys. He'll need to go to a dealer or locksmith.

27$ for a spare key?? Wow I thought I would be looking at over $50 for a key, this is perfect! When I bought my car the owner claimed to have 2 keys but only gave me 1 and said he lost other key ( maybe because I lowballed him 1000 lol)

From what I remember you can buy the more expensive Key that has the S2000 Imprinted on it, or a normal "spare" type key used for all honda's which is the cheaper version.

Does this key start the car or just unlock the doors. It is cheap to get a key to open the door but these require a chipped key to disable the imobiliser. The op needs one that can be used to start the car. I know the keys for the ap1 is a couple hundred after programming.

Local walmart reprograms keys. Cost me around 50-60, AP1.
